Every year I make gifts for the three lovely ladies that I work with. Sometimes they are all different, sometimes they are all the same. This year I have done three different things using the same basic items – hopefully tailored to each recipients personal taste!
First up is Sadie, who likes weird, wonderful and offbeat things:
Keeping the original black wooden base showing I used elements from Graphic45’s Olde Curiosity Shoppe and Kraft Reflections papers. I had some Prima flowers with printed text and used Tim Holtz Hitch Fasteners for the centres.
A rusty key fitted inside the metal Memory Glass frame, with an old book page behind it. Cogs and gems filled the space, along with a glittered bat! (Apologies for the slightly blurry photo).
I didn’t have any magic potions to fill the tiny glass vials so I used some UTEE crystals instead.
I had a chipboard bottle and cut the design from the Graphic45 paper to fit on top. Colour was added with Distress Ink before coating with some decoupage varnish to give the bottle it’s sheen. I managed to squeeze another little bat in here!
Some washi tape made the perfect backdrop for the resin glasses. I know how Sadie likes to be freaked out by things so I cut some eyes to fit in the frames then topped then with glass drops for added ‘realism’!
Merry Christmas Sadie!
