It’s time for a new challenge at Country View Challenges and the theme this month is Texture. I have created a pretty box canvas:

I began by adding Tim Holtz collage paper to a box canvas, then added some acrylic paint in shades of blue and green. Once dry I stencilled a flower using crackle paste.

After leaving overnight, I added my focal point, layered hearts of scrapbook paper and hessian, topped with a metal clock face and twing wrapped vial. I finished with some book text.

Finally I added depth by inking around the edges and splattered some black and white paint.
