Planes, Trains and Automobiles at Country View Challenges

The year is flying by and it’s September already. There’s a new challenge starting today at Country View Challenges and the theme is ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles‘, I have a vintage style card to share using some lovely stamps from IndigoBlu and Stampers Anonymous:

I began by layering some faux leather embossed card onto a cream card blank. I stamped the IndigoBlu sentiment onto cream card stock using Sepia Archival ink and trimmed. Then I used Frayed Burlap and Vintage Photo Distress Ink to age it before matting onto black card stock.. The Stampers Anonymous stamp was stamped onto another piece of cream card stock using Jet Black Archival ink and aged in the same way before being cut in half. I arranged it behind the sentiment along with some tea dyed cheesecloth. I finished with a couple of tiny Tim Holtz ephemera die cuts.

  1. Hi. I love this design. It has an antique warm feel to it. I have some Tim Holtz ephemera that I would like to use. This design gives me inspiration to get out the bits and pieces and put a card together. Thank you for this creation, I really enjoyed reading your post.
    Happy Fall!
