I was wandering around the internet and came across this challenge over at Handmade Harbour. As soon as I saw the theme, I was inspired to make this card.
The last time I used this stamp I chose a completely different colour scheme (you can find it here), so it was fun to do something new this time.
I wanted a warm and cosy feel for this card so picked these papers from Cosmo Cricket. The plaid pattern reminds me of a woollen tartan scarf, and the red polka dots were perfect for my steaming mug of cocoa! The mug is a BossKut die, and the fancy scalloped labels are from a Cart-Us die set. I added a bit of definition round the edges with Distress Inks (Vintage Photo, Weathered Wood, and Peeled Paint). The ivy spray is a Crafter’s Companion die and fitted perfectly across the label die cut.
The Tiny Text stickers from Cosmo Cricket were just the right size and expressed the friendship sentiment of this card nicely.
I coloured the image with a whole host of Spectrum Noir pens!
