Welcome back to my second project this week for Visible Image stamps. (I sneaked an extra project in on Tuesday as I am having so much fun with the new stamp sets!) Today I have created a small 3d piece using the Mr Bone Jangles set, Scratch the Surface and the Glimmer of Light set.
I painted a small wooden box and two spools with black acrylic paint and set aside to dry. I took some MDF cogs and covered them with silver gilding wax. These formed the front of my wheels once glued onto the ends of the spools.
Once the box was dry I added a dictionary page to line it,dry brushing black acrylic around the edges to frame the words ‘despair’, ‘desperate’ and ‘desperation’. Once dry I splatted some red acrylic sparingly across it.
I stamped the sentiment from the Glimmer of Light set and cut out the words Dark and Moments, and glued into place. The skeleton is stamped then cut out before being mounted onto some tiny MDF circles to raise it out from the background.
I used one of the stamps from the Scratch The Surface set around the outside edge, embossing in red.
The large skull is embossed in grey on the back.
I used a strong multi purpose glue to attach the ‘wheels’ to the bottom of the box.
