Smeared and Smudged August Member Blog Hop – Poe-tic

This month the Smeared and Smudged members are celebrating the world of Edgar Allen Poe. I have created a small canvas based on his literary works. If you would like to check out the other projects in the blog hop then please click on the links below:

Smeared Ink - Poe Quoth the Raven Stamps

I painted the canvas with red Dylusions paint and layered some Echo Park paper over the top. The arch and ink bottle are cut from greyboard using Sizzix dies, then painted with DecoArt Media acrylics. I added some highlights to the bottle with a white pen before coating with Glossy Accents.

Poe, the raven and the heart are all rubber stamps from Smeared Ink, stamped and coloured with Promarkers. I added a dot of Glossy Accents to the raven’s eye and finished with a quill made from a Tim Holtz nib and a red feather.

I am entering the following challenges:

Haunted Design House – Fur and feathers, tooth and claw

Poe Quoth The Raven – Pick Any 3 (Raven, Metal, Red, Feathers, Purple…I know it’s more than 3!!!)

Smudgy Antics – ATG
