Zombie Shrine

I created this little upcycled project using an empty sardine can and some bits and pieces from my stash. The theme for the challenge this month at Haunted Design House is ‘I Love Rock and Roll’ and each time I look at this piece I think of the (not at all creepy!) song ‘You Raise Me Up’ by Westlife! (Ok – maybe it is a bit creepy that I have a Westlife song running through my head…..)

Zombie Shrine

I lined the can with patterned papers from Graphic 45 and Bazzil, and covered the outside with Tim Holtz washi tape.

The doll arms are painted with DecoArt Media acrylics and set in some air dry clay. I painted the clay and added some Distress Stickles.

The sign is cut from from some Echo Park paper and glued to a piece of driftwood.

I finished the piece with some skull beads and wire, wrapped around the outside of the can.

I a entering the following challenges:

Haunted Design House – I Love Rock and Roll

Dream In Darkness – #3 ATG

Forever Dark 2 – ATG

Altered Eclectics – July ATG
