I love the combination of blues and neutral shades in this card. I used Papermania kraft card, three shades of blue 12×12 Kaisercard, some Dovecraft glittered star printed paper and some foreign language book pages.
The challenge at Marianne’s Design Divas is to use ribbon and/or a charm (as well as three Marianne Design products). I used some Marianne dies – LR0162 rose and leaf, LR0132 flower, CR1254 aged square as well as the cute little Daisy angel stamp. Some stripey ribbon and crochet lace, as well as the little silver bell fulfils the criteria.
I stamped the angel onto brown kraft card and coloured her with Prismacolor pencils (White, Flesh,Grey Blue, Golden Yellow) adding some Stardust Stickles to her sparkler. The greeting is stamped onto blue card and trimmed into a tag shape, using an EK Success scalloped punch to make the fancy edge. I used a bit of twine to attach the silver bell. This whole feature is mounted onto the aged square die cut (which has some Weathered Wood Distress Ink around the edges).
I used some book pages to cut the roses and bottom flower layers. The top layers of the flat flowers are cut from different blue shades of card. They have brads in the centre and Stickles to add sparkle. I cut leaves from the book pages, and punched blue leaves with my Martha Stewart punches.
I cut a snowflake with my Crafter’s Companion die and added some touches of blue with Broken China Distress Ink. I then arranged more flowers and leaves on top.
I used a Memory Box Floral Wreath die to cut the floral sprays in white pearl card. After cutting to fit, I added more (!) Stickles.
I have decided to enter this into Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge too, as I have used so much glitter!!!
