Winter Washi Tape Card

Sometimes we need to make a quick and easy card, especially at Christmas when, for many people, we are making large numbers of cards. This card is so easy, uses only a couple of products, and takes no time at all – yet, I think, looks really stylish and classy.

I used a pack of washi tape which had four festive designs in it, a die-cut snowflake, and a few adhesive gems.

First, I cut random lengths of each of the tapes and stuck them down in a criss-cross pattern, set slightly off-centre on the front of the card. (I alternated between horizontal and vertical as I stuck the strips on to give a ‘woven’ effect). Then I attached the snowflake with a foam pad before using a few gems in the centre for a bit of glitz.

It took 10 minutes to make, and I love it!

PS: If you don’t have any washi tape, try using strips of patterned paper – a great way to  use up leftover scraps!

  1. That is really very beautiful! I loved the girl in the swirling leaves, and the card with the bubble in it and many of the others, but I am a simple-is-good kind of girl. This is so chic and elegant. I love the clean lines and the geometric shapes. Adding the tiny bit of sparkle in the snowflake was just enough glitz to make it shine and stand out. Very well done!

    1. Thankyou Theresa – I really do appreciate your comments. I’m always trying to find new ideas for my cardmaking and this card is quite different from my usual ‘style’. I was very pleased with the results and it’s nice to know that other people agree!
