It’s time for my second project for the December Challenge at Country View Challenges. Our theme for the month is Christmas and I have used the optional colour scheme of Red, Green and Rust for this festive tag.
I used my Sizzix Alterations die to cut a tag from white cardstock, then stamped and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. (The stamp is from Kaisercraft). The embossing powder acts as a resist for the distress Ink which I blended over the tag – Festive Berries and Lucky Clover. A few splashes of water adds visual texture and a faux bleach effect. I added a little Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges for definition.
I die cut some Marianne star borders in black card and placed them behind the die cut Sizzix deer. The deer are cut from kraft card, then covered with Tea Dye Distress Embossing Powder for a rusty look.
Some seam binding coloured with Distress Inks finishes the tag perfectly.
