Journalling on the Edge

The prompt at Joggles Art Journal Adventure this week was to transform one or more edges on your page. I bought this stamp for precisely this reason but never got round to using it until now. (That’s why I love this group so much – it is (very gently) forcing me to get stuff done!!)

Anyway, my page this week is actually a set of three pages, bound together with washi tape, hiding a message under each layer.

I began by taking a couple of sheets of smooth cardstock and adding colour with Dylusions ink sprays. A quick spritz or two of Distress Mica spray added some subtle metallic shine, and I randomly splatted some black acrylic to create dots.

I let this dry completely then stamped my border stamp with Archival Ink and cut out three pages.

I found some pretty washi tape to join the pages. (Happy Jackson and Little B)

The detail in the border stamp from Lost Coast Designs was picked out in white and silver:

I used a quote stamp from Bee Crafty under the first page:

and a fabulous Light bulb stamp from Visible Image under the second…

I am so happy to have finally used this stamp, and created a mini journal within my journal.

Thanks for stopping by, why not come and join the Art Journal Adventure Facebook group. It is a rapidly growing friendly group full of encouragement and inspiration.
