Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

Well, it’s Friday again and it’s cold and dull outside….autumn has definitely arrived! So I decided to create a bit of summer here inside the house with this pretty Magnolia card.

The Magnolia-Licious Challenge Blog has a colour challenge at the moment using a vivid shade of blue, and it reminded me of a cloudless summer sky. I coloured the image with Prismacolour pencils this time (instead of ProMarkers) as I preferred the colour range I could achieve. Tilda is cut out and raised up from the seascape background, which is layered onto some background papers.

The K and Co Dreamy die-cut fit the colour scheme perfectly – I just added a few pearls to the ‘A’.

I used an EK Success border punch underneath the ribbon and lace ruffle, and just had to put some Prima flowers and rosebuds on (I can’t help it – I love flowers!)

I’ve had the little K and Co button for ages and thought that it would add the finishing touch.

I really had planned to do a few more scrapbook pages and make some Christmas presents today…but I got sidetracked with this card. Maybe tomorrow…….
