The theme for this week’s Midweek Papercraft Party at Handmade Harbour is Celebrate/Sparkle! Wendy has been busy producing some lovely new images for the Spring and I decided to use 534 – girls celebrating to make a Hen Party invitation and rosette.
For the card I printed the digistamp and coloured it with a mixture of Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens:
IB1, BT1, TB1, Blender, TN3, TN6, TN9, EB4 GB6, GB9, DR7,FS5, GG1, GG2, Carmine, Wild Cranberry, Lime Zest, Lime Green
I then matted and layered it onto cerise card and silver mirri card. I added a fringe of bright pink fuzzy fibres around the edge, and four sparkly gems before attaching it to my stepper card. I cut some pieces of black and pink foiled card to fit the steps before making my little Hen Party sign. I printed off the words and layered them onto cerise card. I used a cake pop stick for the handle and fixed it to the back of the sign, then tied a bow in neon yellow organza ribbon. I used double sided tape to stick the handle to the card.
Everyone who attends the hen party has to wear a snazzy rosette!
I printed the image of the girls again, but made it smaller to fit into my circle die. I coloured it with the same colours as before and layered it onto a circle of silver mirri card. I wanted some sparkle on this image too, so added some tiny lime green gems. I added more of the bright pink fibres around the edge and made loops with the organza ribbon. It is all tidied up at the back with a circle of card, and has a brooch back added so it can be worn.
I hope you are inspired to join in the fun at Handmade Harbour, don’t forget to check out all the other DT’s fabulous creations!
