Penny Black Hedgehog Card

Having been picked for the Top Three at Spectrum Noir again last month, I am going for gold in January with this cute card!

The theme for Spectrum Noir’s January Challenge is Animals/Critters and this sweet stamp from Penny Black has been sitting in my drawer for ages just waiting to be used.

I stamped the image with black Memento ink and used the following pens to colour it in:

IG3, IG4, IG5, IG6, CR1, CR2, CR4, CR5, FS1, DG2, DG3, TN3, TN4, TN6, CG1, CG2, CT4, IB1, TB1, Blender

I added some sparkle with Stardust Stickles to the flowers.

The backing papers are from DoCrafts’ Forever Friends ‘Forever Love’ collection and are really pretty with their glittered highlights.

I used a Fiskars lacy border punch behind the hedgehog image.

After adding a stamped sentiment, I clustered some tiny paper flowers (using Rock Candy Distress Stickles to add some shine, and little adhesive pearls in the centres).

I am also entering this card into the lovely Delicious Doodles Challenge whose theme this time is ‘Flowers’.
